Dendy Cinema, Canberra

We would like to invite you to the Canberra Premiere of the award-winning documentary "Hard To Believe" at Dendy Cinemas in Canberra Centre on Tuesday 22 November 2016. The event is supported by the Australian Lawyers for Human Rights.

This is a particularly important event for lawyers as the issue examined is forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience in China, a topic that has gained international media attention due to a ground-breaking report that was released in June this year. The report found that up to 100,000 transplants are taking place in China each year, which is 10 times the number of transplants claimed by Chinese officials. To see the report please visit: www.endorganpillaging.org/an-update

As you may be aware it is not only those with spiritual beliefs who are persecuted, a large number of lawyers are also imprisoned without a fair trial in the absence of the Rule Of Law.

"This documentary is extremely important for those involved in organ donation and transplantation, human rights, healthcare, ethics and the law. The credentials of the interviewed experts is impeccable."  - Journal of Bioethical Enquiry

Join International Human Rights Lawyer and co-author of the new report, David Matas (from the film), ex surgeon from China, Enver Tohti, and member of the Medical Advisory Board of Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting In China, Prof Maria Fiatarone Singh in a Q&A session after the film.

We hope you will be interested in attending.  Please feel welcome to share this invitation with your colleagues.
